Unappreciated and Undervalued

Have you ever felt undervalued or unappreciated? I know I have.

In this episode of Imagine The Possibilities, I explore what those two feelings might be telling us about ourselves. We’ll talk about the difference between being valuable and being indispensable, how years of experience can make difficult things look easy, and why appreciation may be happening around us in ways we don’t always recognize.

I’ll also introduce something I call a reverse bucket list—a simple way to look at what we’ve accomplished, what we’ve learned, who we’ve helped, and the difference we’ve already made.

Because we’re not finished.

Courage

When I think about courage, I often picture extraordinary acts—people facing danger or risking themselves for someone else. But I’ve come to believe courage is much more personal than that. Sometimes courage appears in the ordinary moments of our lives: admitting we were wrong, having a difficult conversation, starting something new, or simply taking the next step when we’re uncertain about where it will lead. In this episode, I explore how courage, fear, experience, judgment, and our values work together. Maybe courage isn’t determined by what we do. Maybe it’s determined by what doing it requires of us.

Who Am I?

A few weeks ago, we began our journey of becoming. In this episode, let’s slow down for a moment to ask a question that most of us have asked at one time or another: Who am I? Throughout our lives we collect titles and labels, but do they really define us? Through a few stories from my own life, I’ve come to believe that who we are is revealed far more by our character and our relationships than by any title we ever hold. I hope this conversation encourages you to spend a little time reflecting on your own answer.

Becoming

Over the past few days I’ve found myself reflecting on a simple conversation that unexpectedly changed the way I look at my own life. As I replayed that conversation, I began to see that every success, every failure, every blessing, and every challenge had been quietly shaping who I was becoming. In this first episode of Season 5, I’d like to share that journey with you. My hope is that as we explore these ideas together, you’ll begin looking at your own story through a new lens and discover that perhaps the greatest journey isn’t about achievement—it’s about becoming.

Technology and AI

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere. Some people see it as the next great technological breakthrough, while others view it with caution and concern. In this episode of Imagine the Possibilities, we’ll reflect on my lifetime of technological change—from the early days of personal computers and smartphones to today’s rapidly evolving world of AI. Drawing on my own personal experiences, including my cancer journey and decades in the technology industry, we’ll explore the difference between information, understanding, and wisdom. More importantly, discover a question that may matter more than any other: as technology continues to evolve, what will we become?

Dreamers and Doers

Some of us dream about what could be. Others feel most alive when they’re taking action. But what if most of us are actually both?

In this episode I reflect on the space between dreaming and doing — and why the distance between the two may not be as large as we think. Through personal stories, reflections on the Wright brothers, and thoughts about belief, growth, and understanding, this episode explores how dreams are shaped… and how they shape us in return.

Maybe success isn’t about leaping forward.
Maybe it’s simply about taking the next step.

Information at the Speed of Life

In a world overflowing with information, why does understanding feel harder to find than ever before? In this episode of Imagine the Possibilities, we explore the growing gap between what we know and what we truly understand. Information is everywhere—instant, constant, and overwhelming—but understanding requires something different: time, reflection, and space. Together, we’ll slow things down and examine how we process what we hear, see, and believe. Because the goal isn’t to know more, it’s to understand better. And sometimes, the most powerful step we can take is simply to pause and let understanding catch up.

Someone Has To Go First

In today’s episode we’re reflecting on the timeless wisdom of the Golden Rule—treating others the way we would want to be treated. Through a simple childhood memory of a 12-inch ruler with eleven powerful words printed on the back, let’s explore how this principle once guided everyday behavior and why its relevance remains just as important today. In a world that often feels rushed, critical, and disconnected, the Golden Rule reminds us that kindness, patience, and understanding still matter. Focusing first on small actions—one conversation, one moment, one act of kindness—brings meaningful change through our individual choices.

It Started With Eagles

Sometimes the most important lessons don’t come from books or conversations — they come from moments we never expected to matter. In this episode, I share how watching eagles over the years led me to an unexpected realization about hate, perception, and how easily we justify differences. What started as a simple wildlife observation turned into a powerful spiritual reflection about frequency illusion, emotional attachment, and the danger of focusing on what separates us instead of what unites us. This episode isn’t really about eagles or owls — it’s about us, and the daily practice of choosing love over hate.

My Destiny

We’re all writing a book, whether we realize it or not. Every experience, every success, every setback becomes part of our story. Join me for this episode of Imagine the Possibilities, as we reflect on what it means to be the author of our own lives. My Destiny explores authorship, failure, humility, and the power of choosing our next chapters intentionally. Through a personal story and honest reflection, this episode reminds us that failure is not an identity, but information—and that even the hardest chapters can shape us for the better. Your story isn’t finished. You’re still writing it.
