Have you ever felt undervalued or unappreciated?
I have. And over the past couple of weeks, those two words kept running through my mind. The more I thought about them, the more questions I began asking myself.
In this episode of Imagine The Possibilities, I explore what it really means to feel undervalued and unappreciated—and whether those feelings might sometimes give us an opportunity to take a more honest look at ourselves.
We’ll talk about how experience can make difficult things appear easy, why being valuable isn’t the same as being indispensable, and whether helping someone become capable enough that they no longer need us might actually be one of the greatest ways we can add value.
We’ll also look at appreciation and the possibility that people may be showing us how much we matter without ever saying the words, “I appreciate you.”
Finally, I’ll invite you to create what I call a reverse bucket list—not a list of everything you still want to accomplish, but a look at what you’ve already accomplished, what you’ve learned, who you’ve helped, and the difference you’ve made.
And then we’ll ask an important question:
What comes next?
