Welcome!
Hello and welcome to my home on the web!
My name is Skip Pogue, and I am blessed and honored to be hosting this site as I continue my journey to grow and become the best version of myself I can be. It is my hope and prayer that you will find wisdom and encouragement that you can apply to your own journeys.
I am a man of faith, a son, brother, husband, father, friend, colleague and professional—all of these roles are what made me who I am today, and all of these various aspects will be a part of what I share with each of you.
Failure and success. Trials and triumphs. Tribulation and peace. Doubt and resolution. Pain and healing. Sorrow and joy. Conflict and forgiveness.
As we navigate the path we each walk upon in this life we discover that for every negative there is always a positive. How we view the world around us can be challenging, especially if we are faced with ongoing hardships.
Despair, discouragement, doubt, fear—yet, among even these there is always hope!
I look forward to sharing my heart here and would love for each of you to share your own thoughts, stories, and adventures as well. We all face challenges, but nothing says we have to face them alone. Let’s commit to learning and growing together!
I hope that you have a SUPER day and pray that God blesses you in a SUPER way.

Technology and AI
Artificial Intelligence is everywhere. Some people see it as the next great technological breakthrough, while others view it with caution and concern. In this episode of Imagine the Possibilities, we'll reflect on my lifetime of technological change—from the early days of personal computers and smartphones to today's rapidly evolving world of AI. Drawing on my own personal experiences, including my cancer journey and decades in the technology industry, we'll explore the difference between information, understanding, and wisdom. More importantly, discover a question that may matter more than any other: as technology continues to evolve, what will we become?
Dreamers and Doers
Some of us dream about what could be. Others feel most alive when they’re taking action. But what if most of us are actually both? In this episode I reflect on the space between dreaming and doing — and why the distance between the two may not be as large as we think. Through personal stories, reflections on the Wright brothers, and thoughts about belief, growth, and understanding, this episode explores how dreams are shaped… and how they shape us in return. Maybe success isn’t about leaping forward. Maybe it’s simply about taking the next step.
Maybe the Grass Isn’t Greener
What if the grass isn’t greener somewhere else… What if we’re just not seeing ours clearly? In this episode of Imagine the Possibilities, I share a simple story that turned into something more—one that began early one morning… with an unexpected visitor. What started as a quiet moment became a reflection on how often we overlook what’s right in front of us. Through that experience, I explore how our focus shapes our perspective—and how what we’re searching for might already be here.
We Know We Shouldn’t…But We Do
What are we really worth? It’s a question most of us don’t ask out loud—but it’s one we feel in quiet moments. In a world that constantly measures value through numbers, comparisons, and outcomes, it’s easy to start believing that our worth is something that can be calculated. In this episode, we take a step back and explore how value is assigned in business, how it shows up in our work, and how easily we can begin to apply those same measurements to ourselves. But what if our worth was never meant to be measured at all?
Information at the Speed of Life
In a world overflowing with information, why does understanding feel harder to find than ever before? In this episode of Imagine the Possibilities, we explore the growing gap between what we know and what we truly understand. Information is everywhere—instant, constant, and overwhelming—but understanding requires something different: time, reflection, and space. Together, we’ll slow things down and examine how we process what we hear, see, and believe. Because the goal isn’t to know more, it’s to understand better. And sometimes, the most powerful step we can take is simply to pause and let understanding catch up.
Someone Has To Go First
In today's episode we're reflecting on the timeless wisdom of the Golden Rule—treating others the way we would want to be treated. Through a simple childhood memory of a 12-inch ruler with eleven powerful words printed on the back, let's explore how this principle once guided everyday behavior and why its relevance remains just as important today. In a world that often feels rushed, critical, and disconnected, the Golden Rule reminds us that kindness, patience, and understanding still matter. Focusing first on small actions—one conversation, one moment, one act of kindness—brings meaningful change through our individual choices.

How to use your smart devices for motivation and inspiration
I was born on July 4th. My wonderful wife and I have been married 58 years. We have two married children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. My family is my rock, and my wife is the corner stone.
I have a deep seeded belief in the United States of America and the United States Constitution. I believe in the rights and freedoms that it provides, including the freedom of religion, speech, and the right of every citizen to bear arms. I also believe that it is up to “we the people” to stand up and be willing to defend the Constitution and our country against all enemies. I do not and will not vote for a political party. I will vote for people that I have researched and believe support most of my views. I will only support those that will support both the US Constitution and the United States of America as a world leader and a stronghold of freedom.
As a Christian my faith is based on my personal relationship with God. I believe that Jesus was crucified, that he died and that he was resurrected. I believe because of these events and God’s Grace that my sins are forgiven and that I will spend eternity in Heaven. That is just me, you may not believe that way, but I will pray that someday you do.
I retired after working 47 years. The last fifteen or so years were spent in management with the last position I held being the Director of Help Desk Quality Management, my responsibilities included site operations, along with training and certifications for customer facing employees. During my entire career, the things that I believe made people successful were their work ethics, integrity, and attitude. For me it was my understanding that the only way I could be successful was if I helped all the individuals with whom I came in contact be successful in their personal, professional, and spiritual lives.
