Hello and welcome to “Imagine the Possibilities.” My name is Skip Pogue, and today, we’re diving into the boundless opportunities the Internet offers and one particular aspect we should consider. I believe the Internet is a fantastic tool, offering limitless access to information and experiences that were once beyond our reach.
Reflecting on my high school and college days, research meant hours in the library, sifting through books and taking copious notes. Today, with just a few keystrokes, we have a world of information at our fingertips. The convenience of online banking, shopping, video chatting with distant family members, and holding virtual meetings has revolutionized our daily lives.
However, there’s a darker side to the Internet, especially in social media. Platforms like Facebook and Instagram often become breeding grounds for negativity and unnecessary criticism. It’s essential to navigate these spaces wisely, blocking out negativity to maintain our mental well-being.
Another critical point is avoiding confirmation bias in our online searches. Whether it’s researching products, making informed decisions, or understanding complex topics, it’s crucial to look at both sides of the coin. By doing so, we ensure we’re making well-rounded, informed choices.
Thank you for joining me. Always remember, your future belongs to you. Be kind, stay humble, love deeply, and laugh often. I hope you have a SUPER day, and may God bless you abundantly.

Nice one! We hear what we want to hear and disregard the rest.
That is so true and now we have the internet and social media to “prove” we are right. LOL
Again another great podcast
