Someone Has To Go First

In this episode of Imagine the Possibilities, I’ll be sharing a personal reflection about something surprisingly simple—a 12‑inch school ruler with eleven words printed on the back: ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.’ Those words, known as the Golden Rule, served as a quiet guide during my childhood and carry a message that still holds tremendous power today. 
 
As I reflect on how the world has changed, I asked myself an important question: what would happen if more of us chose to live by that simple principle again? The episode explores how small acts of kindness, patience, and understanding can slowly ripple outward—just like waves across a pond—creating meaningful change in our homes, communities, and beyond. 
 
The Golden Rule may be simple, but its impact can be profound. When we choose kindness first, even when others do not, we become the starting point for something better. This episode is a reminder that building a better world often begins with one decision: to treat others the way we would hope to be treated.
