Welcome to “Imagine the Possibilities,” where we delve into the essence of motivation and how it shapes our lives. I’m Skip Pogue, your host, and today we explore the profound impact of what we consume and the company we keep.
I firmly believe that our input directly influence our output. The books we read, whether they are inspirational like “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” or thought-provoking like “The Measure of a Man,” shape our perspectives. Similarly, the people we surround ourselves with play a critical role in our motivation. Associating with positive individuals can lift us up, while continual exposure to negativity can drag us down, no matter how motivated we are.
My personal journey with this podcast is a testament to the power of positive influence. Over two years, my wife Brenda’s unwavering support and encouragement were crucial in overcoming self-doubt and staying focused. This journey reinforced the importance of motivation from within and from our loved ones.
I also find motivation through reading, aiming to read a book a week, with every third book being motivational. As Charlie “Tremendous” Jones once said, “We’re the same today as we will be five years from today, except for the books we read and the people we meet.” Music, seminars, and spending quality time with family and friends further fuel my drive.
Join me as we explore these facets of motivation and how they can help us all imagine and realize our fullest potential. Let’s embark on this journey together and discover the endless possibilities that await.

I enjoyed the podcast a lot. I appreciate the kind words you spoke of me. I always tried to motivate you because I knew you were at your best when you heard positive words. The feedback and blessing from helping you, bounced back on me. So it helped both of us. I pray you keep this good work going. Regardless of numbers, there will always be at least one person to benefit from it. I believe in you always and I love you!
