Welcome!
Hello and welcome to my home on the web!
My name is Skip Pogue, and I am blessed and honored to be hosting this site as I continue my journey to grow and become the best version of myself I can be. It is my hope and prayer that you will find wisdom and encouragement that you can apply to your own journeys.
I am a man of faith, a son, brother, husband, father, friend, colleague and professional—all of these roles are what made me who I am today, and all of these various aspects will be a part of what I share with each of you.
Failure and success. Trials and triumphs. Tribulation and peace. Doubt and resolution. Pain and healing. Sorrow and joy. Conflict and forgiveness.
As we navigate the path we each walk upon in this life we discover that for every negative there is always a positive. How we view the world around us can be challenging, especially if we are faced with ongoing hardships.
Despair, discouragement, doubt, fear—yet, among even these there is always hope!
I look forward to sharing my heart here and would love for each of you to share your own thoughts, stories, and adventures as well. We all face challenges, but nothing says we have to face them alone. Let’s commit to learning and growing together!
I hope that you have a SUPER day and pray that God blesses you in a SUPER way.

Honesty Before Trust
In today's episode we're going to explore why honesty must come before trust. I’ve learned over the years that trust doesn’t grow from perfection—it grows from transparency, humility, and truth. When I’m honest with myself, I gain clarity. When I’m honest with others, relationships strengthen. And when I’m honest with God, my faith deepens. In this conversation, we will learn to walk through honesty in our personal, professional, and spiritual lives and I'll share practical steps that help you build trust that lasts. Honesty anchors our lives in peace, and peace is something we all need more of!
A Reflection of Faith
Eighteen years ago, I heard three words no one wants to hear:. That moment changed everything—how I thought, how I prayed, and how I lived. Through fear, faith, and healing, I discovered that strength doesn’t always roar; sometimes it whispers, “Keep going.” This is my story of grace, gratitude, and God’s presence through every step of my journey. It’s about learning that healing isn’t just physical—it’s spiritual—and that with faith, even life’s hardest challenges can become reminders of hope.
It Takes a While
In today's episode, “It Takes a While,” I share some personal reflections on how life’s most meaningful changes rarely happen overnight. Whether it’s a garden, a friendship, or our own sense of peace, everything worth keeping takes time and care to grow again. Through stories and simple reminders, we’ll explore how healing, renewal, and love all begin with small steps. So, grab your favorite beverage, take a deep breath, and let’s walk this path of gentle restoration together—because sometimes, it just takes a while.
Goals and Growth
In this episode, we're going to take a closer look at how goals and growth work hand in hand, in our personal, professional, and spiritual lives. I'll share a few stories — including one about my iPAQ, my horse, and even how Imagine the Possibilities began — to show how setting goals gives us direction and growth gives us momentum. Together, they help shape our journey toward lasting success. So, let’s talk about the map, the journey, and how both can lead to incredible growth in our lives.
Potential Energy
In today's episode we’re diving into a topic that hits close to home for me: “Potential Energy.” In physics, it’s defined as stored energy—but in our lives, it’s the dreams, strengths, and talents we carry but haven’t acted on yet. We all have that hidden power waiting to be released. In this episode, I want to explore how we can move from just holding on to potential, to turning it into action, growth, and success. Let’s talk about how to unlock it together.
Why VS Why Not
In today' episode, we’re going to explore two simple questions that have the power to shape our lives: Why? and Why not? These little questions can either hold us back or push us forward. For me, I’ve often asked “why not” first—and that choice has opened doors I never imagined. Together, we’ll look at how these questions influence our choices, our growth, and the way we see opportunities. Let’s discover how asking the right question can change everything.

How to use your smart devices for motivation and inspiration
I was born on July 4th. My wonderful wife and I have been married 58 years. We have two married children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. My family is my rock, and my wife is the corner stone.
I have a deep seeded belief in the United States of America and the United States Constitution. I believe in the rights and freedoms that it provides, including the freedom of religion, speech, and the right of every citizen to bear arms. I also believe that it is up to “we the people” to stand up and be willing to defend the Constitution and our country against all enemies. I do not and will not vote for a political party. I will vote for people that I have researched and believe support most of my views. I will only support those that will support both the US Constitution and the United States of America as a world leader and a stronghold of freedom.
As a Christian my faith is based on my personal relationship with God. I believe that Jesus was crucified, that he died and that he was resurrected. I believe because of these events and God’s Grace that my sins are forgiven and that I will spend eternity in Heaven. That is just me, you may not believe that way, but I will pray that someday you do.
I retired after working 47 years. The last fifteen or so years were spent in management with the last position I held being the Director of Help Desk Quality Management, my responsibilities included site operations, along with training and certifications for customer facing employees. During my entire career, the things that I believe made people successful were their work ethics, integrity, and attitude. For me it was my understanding that the only way I could be successful was if I helped all the individuals with whom I came in contact be successful in their personal, professional, and spiritual lives.
